Our guides are seasoned fly fishers with experience stalking and catching roosterfish. They will demonstrate proven sighting, casting, stripping, teasing, hook setting, and landing techniques to prepare guests and provide the tools necessary for succes. Guides can lead anglers to catch Roosterfish by chumming and teasing from a panga (depending on availability), teasing from the shore, or sightcasting and running down the man from the beach. The season lasts from April to July and although roosters can be caught anytime during the daylight hours, mid morning through mid afternoon is ideal. The Sea of Cortez is a great place to fish due to the wide vareity of sea life including; Yellow Fin Tuna, Golden Trevally, Flounder, Snapper, Corbina, Cabrilla, Giant Needlefish, Lady Fish, Gafftop Sail Pompano, Lizard Fish, and many other species. Equipment and rigging is specialized and a 9', 9-10 weight fast action rod is recommended. A complete list of recomended gear, filies, and provisions will be provided.
